How are you graded?

Your grades will be based on an overall point average for the each quarter and semester. Each assignment, test, quiz, or activity will have the points possible listed on the activity. The points you score will be put into a percentage and averaged into your total grade. The grades are based on a standard 10% scale as follows:

Grading Scale
A 100 - 90%
B 89.9 - 80%
C 79.9 - 70%
D 69.9 - 60%
F Below 60%

What are you graded on?

All grades will be discussed in class prior to any progress report being sent home. I will allow make-up work for excused absences. Although I will accept late work, there will be a penalty each day the assignment is late. If you have an unexcused absence during an activity and would like to make-up the material, you will need to meet with me on your own time to discuss your options.

Unexcused absences on a day in which a scheduled project is due will be subjected to a penalty against your grade for that activity. If you or your parent(s) have a dispute about this issue, please contact the office and have the absence excused.

Extra credit may be offered at the discretion of the teacher.

Your grades will be based on your performance in the class to include, but not limited to, the following:

Attendance
Participation
Homework
Tests & Quizzes
Journals & Notes
Presentations
