Mission Statement

To make a difference in the world by helping students broaden their understanding and appreciation of the English language and to demonstrate the reasons why such an understanding is important in the lives of the students

About Mr. Paap

Education is more than just memorizing facts and rules. It is about exploring and understanding. As such, I continue my own education daily and continue to learn all I can. I graduated from Northern Arizona Universtity with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and from the University of Phoenix with a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. I have taught at Edu-Prize Charter School, Carson Junior High School, Skyline High School, and now at Brimhall Jr. High. I believe that the student/teacher relationship can only be fostered if we can get to know each other a little better, so here is a little bit about me to get us started.

Madalyn and Me Goofy Dogs!

My wife and I have a beautiful little girl named Madalyn. Her belief is that the world revolves around her, something that we are constantly trying to remedy!

In addition to our daughter, we have two goofy dogs. A big Great Dane mix named Riley, who believes he needs to be around someone all the time, and a little Black Lab mix named Avery. We think that she must be part cat because she is almost the exact opposite of Riley. She likes to stand on th edge of the bed and paw, like a cat, and she values her independence and privacy. Like I said, two goofy dogs!

Using mrpaap.com

I built and maintain this website independently of Mesa Public Schools. By using this site it is my hope to help bring technology and education a step closer together. As such, as long as students are responsible and responsive to this site I will continue to maintain it. However, since this is done on my own time and money, I do not promise that everything will be up to the minute. The class pages with have revision dates (this is especially important to know when your grades are posted). I welcome any critique and encourage students and parents to make recommendations on how best to utilize this site. Thanks in advance!
